As elevation increases, the trail becomes steeper and more exposed, especially on the final ridge leading to Socialist Peak.Most hiking days involve 4-6 hours on the trail, while summit day is significantly longer and starts around midnight. In clear weather, sunrise views often include nearby Mount Kilimanjaro.
